Global Food Innovation Summit and Milan Food City
From the 7th to the 13th of May, TUTTOFOOD will be promoting MILANO FOOD CITY alongside Comune di Milano. A week of food-related events will bring the streets of Milan to life, all in the name of premium quality food and healthy eating. The event, established last year as a spin-off from EXPO MILANO 2015, is expected to meet and surpass the numbers achieved at the first edition: over 178 thousand people across 320 activities, including events, show-cooking demonstrations, tastings, talks, meetings and much more.
This year, the event will reassert its central role within the metropolitan city in terms of the promotion of Italy’s production chain and food excellence, with a special focus on health and sustainability. The important events organised by Confcommercio Milano Monza Brianza Lodi, the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation and the Umberto Veronesi Foundation, in partnership with TUTTOFOOD, will be incorporated and enhanced by integrating the best experiences relating to the food and beverage sector, resulting in shared growth in the name of quality. The events that will involve both Italians from all over Italy and tourists from all over the world, will provide interesting business opportunities in terms of the potential linked to food sector companies.
Milan Food City is an unmissable public opportunity to re-discover the world of Italian and international agro-food through specific themed pathways, and savour, from a cosmopolitan and unique point of view, flavours and tastes that span and explore the various different ways of making food.
Seeds & Chips, after the important success of the last edition, will also take place this year from 7th to 10th of May at the prestigious Milano Congressi center (MiCo): keynote speakers are the Former Secretary of State John Kerry and Starbucks Executive Chairman, Howard Schultz.
Former Secretary of State John Kerry will address the Summit on May 8th, where he will discuss the importance of the challenges that we face in securing a sustainable future. John Kerry’s appearance on the Seeds&Chips stage follows the first post-presidency speach of the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama in 2017. The Global Food Innovation Summit represents an important opportunity for Secretary Kerry’s message to reach an important sector of the tech world, as food becomes an increasingly important aspect of sustainability. Last year President Obama, with his extraordinary charisma, paved the way towards uniting the goals sustainability with food, the environment, and the climate in a debate which raised the level of international discourse. Seeds&Chips is committed to continuing along this path with the knowledge that the new model and the innovations related to food must reach every corner of the planet.
