Chinese New Year, or Chinese Spring Festival, always falls between late January and mid-February. In 2018 the new year is from 16th February, and it is dedicated to the Dog. The 7 days that follow new year’s day are a public holiday in China, as it’s Spring Festival.

After a preparation period, the culmination moment will be at the end of festivities, when in Milan, like in China, spectators will have the chance to attend a Golden Dragon Parade, the Chinese lion dance and a final masked parade. Usually the starting point of the parade is from the end of Via Paolo Sarpi (Piazza Gramsci) roughly at 2 pm and celebrations last until 8 pm.This year the Dragon parade is set on 18th February.
